Passive
Mobilizations

Passive mobilizations allow the release of tension through the movement of muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascias as well as joint capsules. They are a powerful joint work tool for all tissue layers. Mobilizations can be used as a treatment in itself by an experienced massage therapist

Fasciatherapy

Fascia is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber and muscle in place. When it dries up and tightens around muscles, it can limit mobility and cause painful knots to develop. Myofascial pain happens when the same muscle is tightened and released over and over again from repeated motion or tension from stress. Plantar fasciitis is a common condition that affects fascia. Manual therapy is an effective way to release tension within the fascia and to promote comfortable movement.

Trigger Point
Therapy

Myofascial trigger points are a major cause of chronic musculoskeletal pain. The pain from trigger points is often felt elsewhere in adjacent or remote areas of the body. For example, low back pain may be related to trigger points in the abdominal muscles, while headaches can be related to trigger points in the neck muscles. The referred pain is the basis for its name, "Trigger Point ", since it relates to one area triggering pain elsewhere. Trigger point therapy includes specific manipulations to the muscles, fascia and connective tissues. This helps to promote healing and reduce pain. The more accurate the treatment is on the affected trigger point, the better the results.

Prenatal
massage

Research shows that massage can reduce stress hormones in your body and relax and loosen your muscles. It can also increase blood flow, which is so important when you're pregnant, and keep your lymphatic system working at peak efficiency. And it reconnects your mind with your body, a connection that's comforting as your body is going through changes. It is very important to receive a prenatal massage from a well-trained professional. I have specialized in prenatal massage for over 7 years and have lots of experience. During pregnancy, regular prenatal massages may not only help you relax, but may also relieve:

Joint pain

Insomnia

Neck and back pain

Sciatica

Carpal tunnel pain

Headaches

Kinetic Swedish
Massage

Kinetic Swedish Massage is a body approach performed on the table, where the therapist is using oil with her hands into direct contact with the client's skin. In addition to relaxation, the beneficial effects of this type of massage are numerous and have repercussions on all musculoskeletal and organic systems:

Improved blood circulation

Stress reduction by calming the nervous system

Improvement of the suppleness of the skin

Decrease in muscle tension

The Kinetic Swedish Massage techniques are applied from one muscle attachment point to another. The goal is to provide great muscle relaxation and to promote the quality of the range of motion, hence the term kinetics which means "movement". The massage therapist is also trained to act in the prevention and relief of chronic pain through therapeutic massage techniques with actions on soft tissues.

Deep Tissue
Massage

Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that's mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue and adhesions that form and reduces tension in muscle and connective tissue. It may also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.

Cranial sacral
therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on treatment that may provide relief from a variety of symptoms including headaches, neck pain and side effects of cancer treatment among many other conditions. CST uses a light touch to examine membranes and movement of fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity. A CST session is similar to massage therapy, except you stay fully clothed. The therapist uses gentle pressure techniques to assess the existence of possible disruptions and/or restrictions in your fascial system. Light touch and fascial release may help your muscles and organs naturally relieve stress, which improves function and increases relaxation.

Pediatric
massage

The thought of a child or teenager receiving massage therapy seldom occurs to adults but children live very stressful lives these days with school, sports, extracurriculars, play, and peer pressure. That combined with the fact that their bodies are growing and/or going through changes is a good reason to receive massage therapy from time to time. Massage therapy can be an excellent way for the child to connect with and learn about their bodies. Extensive physical activity takes a toll on their muscles, and massage therapy helps. As a matter of fact, those enrolled in sports have much to benefit from the occasional massage therapy session.

Most people experience tense muscles from time to time. But it's important to get help for chronic or severe pain, which may be a sign of a serious health condition. If you continue to have pain despite efforts to relieve it or if pain interferes with sleep or daily activities, talk to your doctor or integrative medicine specialist
